The Compound Effect of Habits

A groundbreaking study published in the European Journal of Social Psychology found that it takes an average of 66 days for a new behaviour to become automatic. However, the researchers also discovered something fascinating: the compounding effect of habits.

Participants who successfully integrated one new habit reported an increased likelihood of adopting additional positive behaviours. This "habit spillover" effect suggests that mastering one life hack can create a positive domino effect, making it easier to implement others.

This research underscores the importance of starting small and being consistent. By focusing on just a few of these life hacks and making them habitual, you're not only improving those specific areas of your life but also increasing your overall capacity for positive change.
